Fundraising for Knitted Knockers
KKUK changes the lives of ladies from across the UK and abroad. Without the fantastic fundraising of our charity supporters, we simply wouldn’t be able to do this. Your safety and wellbeing is our priority, so with this in mind, please follow these fundraising guidelines and ensure you adhere to fundraising regulations when organising and holding your event.
Please do not conduct any door to door requests for donations or sponsorship in aid of the charity. These require a license from local authorities and we do not support this activity, other than through the use of trained third party organisations.
Here are some ideas of how you might raise money:
Hold an event
Whether a dinner fundraiser evening, a ladies cake, coffee and crochet morning or maybe something more unusual we are keen to hear what you have in mind! We ask that promotions of your event/activity should clearly state whether all / some of the funds raised will go to Knitted Knockers UK Charity.
Tell us about your event
Please do give the fundraising team at the charity full details about your activity and they will be on hand to support you and offer advice wherever possible, for whatever fundraising activity you do. So if in doubt please just ask.

Recycle for Knitted Knockers
You can donate all your broken and unwanted jewellery to raise money for Knitted Knockers UK. If you have any gold, silver, odd earrings, broken chains, costume jewellery and watches, you can recycle them at no cost to you whilst making money for Knitted Knockers UK.
We can recycle:
• Any jewellery – gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (like odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones).
• Any unwanted banknotes – old and new, UK and foreign banknotes, including all the pre Euro notes that are now worthless to you.
If you would like to send your jewellery and banknote recycling to us, simply wrap, pack, print label and send!
Use your own envelope or jiffy bag, no bigger than A5 in size, and post free of charge by printing out the freepost label

Donate Your Stamps
You can now donate your used stamps to raise much needed funds for Knitted Knockers UK. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper.
Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:

All street collections or collections on public property will need to be registered with the local authority, who will issue a collection licence / permit.
England and Wales
Those on private property will require the permission of the property owner/manager. We will need to see a copy of this license/ permission before issuing you with charity collection tub. Under 16’s are not permitted to collect money through public collections.
Raffles and Lotteries
Holding an auction or raffle at your event is a great way of generating big funds with minimal costs. However, as raffles fall under strict laws relating to all lotteries, there are some cases where a license from your local council may be required. Using the Charity Logo
If you would like to use the charity logo to advertise your event or fundraising, you must request approval from the fundraising team by emailing us through the contact us page. The charity’s ‘in aid of’ logo may be provided with guidance on its use and all materials need to be approved before print or publishing.
